When it comes to planting a lawn the most economical method is to plant it yourself. But, in order to have a resistant grass, you must provide it a healthy and strong start and offer it the necessary environment for growth. Read on to know how to plant grass yourself.
Step 1- Remove debris from the land surface including rocks and sticks, and vegetation in the area you want to plant grass. If the area is full of weeds you can accelerate the removal process by spraying herbicide, but you must wait at least three weeks before sowing the seeds to allow herbicide residues to dissipate. Step 3 – Spread 1 – 2 inches of manure on the planting surface and mix it using a rake. This fertilizes the soil, increases moisture absorption and also improves airing; all these are factors that ensure a healthy lawn growth.

After this, water only once a day using enough water so that it penetrates 5-10cm (2-4 inches) into the soil.
Step 7 – Fertilize the lawn as soon as the grass seed has germinated. For a good fertilization it is recommended to use special fertilizer for grass, according to manufacturer’s recommendations.
